Over the course of several years, Patrick Willocq has been documenting the experience of the women (»Walés«) of the Congolese Ekonda tribe during their ritual isolation and subsequent ceremonial return to the village community.
The elaborate scenes, built by local artists, are complemented by the women’s songs, accessible via QR codes (demonstrated here), and a colourful, playful design.
