Anyone who handles the people’s money will not do so without self-interest — today as much as 500 years ago. This excerpt (»On self-interest«) from Francis Bacon’s essays, illustrated with stock images of businessmen falling down (yet really bouncing) was laid out in Berlin’s government district during the global financial crisis of 2009. Wire-stitched in DIN format, but with a single eyelet for guaranteed trouble in any ring binder.
